I absolutely love engagement sessions – in fact, they’re probably the type of session that brings me the most joy. Why? Because they’re raw. They offer couples an opportunity to truly be themselves, away from the pressure/overwhelm that something like a wedding can present (now don’t get me wrong, I’m obsessed with weddings…but let’s not pretend like they’re the most peaceful of productions).

Engagement sessions are the one time that you get to be all snuggly, belly-laugh, and have spontaneous dance parties with your favorite person (without having to worry about timelines or expectations). So, yes, I’m 100% here for it.

This past fall, I got to live out that joy with Claire and Lue, a couple I have come to love more than Meredith & Derek from Grey’s Anatomy (…WHOA 😍). Their connection is nothing short of inspirational. Here’s a little bit about their love story:

We met on NYE in 2017 in Annapolis and had a very High School Musical moment of bumping in to one another, and really hitting it off! We were long distance for the first year and a half, and then I moved up to Baltimore to continue our relationship and be closer to my family. Since then we have gotten a dog (Cooper), bought a house, and are now obviously getting married!
